Use to disinfect pedicure bowls and spas.

Disinfect Whirlpool Units:

  • After using a whirlpool unit, drain and refill with fresh water to just cover the intake valve.
  • Add 1 ounce of BARBICIDE® Spacide® Complete for each gallon of fresh water added.
  • Start the pump to circulate the solution.
  • Wash down the unit sides, seat of the chair, lift and any/all related equipment with a clean swab, brush or sponge.
  • Treated surfaces must remain wet for 10 minutes.
  • After the unit has been thoroughly cleaned, drain the solution from the unit and rinse any/all cleaned surfaces with fresh water.
  • Repeat for heavy soiled units.

What is “contact time” and why is this important?

Contact time refers to the amount of time a surface or implement must remain wet with disinfectant to effectively kill the pathogens (bacteria, viruses, fungi) specified on the label.

For BARBICIDE® Spacide the required contact time is 10 minutes of wet contact.

Can I use BARBICIDE® Spacide Complete the same way I would use BARBICIDE® Concentrate?

Yes! BARBICIDE® Spacide Complete can be used to disinfect all of the same tools, implements and surfaces as you do with BARBCIDE® Concentrate. It can be mixed and used in spray bottles as well as being used for immersion.

Can I use BARBICIDE® to disinfect my chairs?

Remember that porous materials cannot be disinfected and ongoing use of disinfectants on materials covering chairs, can damage the material. Feel free to disinfect your chairs, but limit that to once daily – consider barrier methods on chairs such as disposable paper drapes or towels that can be laundered after each client
